Troy man who killed over missing pot gets 25 years in prison

TROY — A 27-year-old who stabbed a man in the chest following an argument over a missing marijuana blunt will spend a quarter of a century behind bars.

Troy resident Juan S. Rivera on Tuesday was sentenced to 25 years in prison and five years of parole for killing 47-year-old Kevin Hall Jr. in 2025, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
