Lawsuit stemming from Stryker cyberattack dismissed

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A federal lawsuit filed against Portage-based Stryker by workers after a cyberattack earlier this year has been dismissed.

Court records show U.S. District Hala Jarbou signed an order Tuesday ending the case after the eight plaintiffs filed a notice to voluntarily dismiss it.

Stryker, a medical technology company, was hit by a cyberattack around March 11 that disrupted its Microsoft systems. Stryker said none of its products used at hospitals around the world were affected. An Iranian-based hacker group claimed responsibility for the attack…
