EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Air conditioners will be blasting this week as people look to escape the extreme heat and humidity.
Specialists say there are steps you should take to ensure your A/C units keep working through these conditions.

Luke Stapleton, general manager of Superior Comfort in Bristol, told 12 News there are two main things to keep in mind.
“Make sure that your filter is clean,” he said, “and then keep your thermostat at a consistent temperature. You really don’t want any wild swings with the set point on your thermostat.”…
