Tanker truck causes fatal crash in Natrona County construction zone

CASPER, Wyo. — Two Colorado residents died and four people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash Friday on U.S. Highway 20-26 in Natrona County.

Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers responded to the wreck at around 1:52 p.m. near mile marker 58, about 55 miles west of Casper.

Investigators determined that a westbound 2024 Western Star tanker combination failed to stop for traffic waiting at a one-lane construction zone. The truck then struck seven other vehicles, which included a Chevrolet Silverado, a Toyota Highlander and a Toyota 4Runner…
