Mini mart owner pleads guilty in Dawson Park drug investigation

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Donald Sharma, 43, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of delivery of heroin and one count of attempted delivery of fentanyl as part of a plea agreement that will dismiss all other drug-dealing charges in the case.

Under the agreement, Sharma will be allowed to delay surrendering until Oct. 2, when he will begin serving a 13-month prison sentence followed by two years of post-prison supervision. During that supervision period, he will not be allowed within 150 feet of Portland’s Dawson Park.

Sharma owned a mini mart across the street from the park. Court documents alleged he dealt drugs out of the store. He was arrested in March 2025 and later released on bail…
