MENANDS — By Wednesday morning, roughly 24 hours after little Harbe Nagi was found dead in a swimming pool, the woods had returned to their normal peace.

Gone were the helicopters, the searching flashlights, the dogs sniffing for scents, the men and women looking, looking, looking.
