Murder charge dropped against Cumberland County man after he spent 3 years in jail

Just weeks before a Cumberland County man was scheduled to stand trial in a 2023 shooting death, prosecutors dismissed the first-degree murder charge against him due to a lack of evidence.

On April 29, the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office dismissed the charge against Glenn Richard Tedder II, 35, in the killing of Timothy James Shannon, 33, court records show. On the dismissal form, Assistant District Attorney Gary Price indicated there was “insufficient evidence to warrant prosecution.”
