FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – A Fairhope restaurant is mourning the loss of a kitchen employee who died after an e-bike crash last week.
Fairhope police say 38-year-old John King was riding his e-bike southbound on Section Street last Friday when he crashed into the back of a stopped car. King was airlifted to a hospital and died from his injuries on Tuesday.
‘He was a rock’
Pete Blohme, the chef behind Panini Pete’s and several other restaurants, said King had been part of the restaurant family for 15 years.
