Abraham family speaks out after manslaughter plea in Jakolbi Taylor death case

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The family of Gary Abraham, who was convicted in the killing of 16-year-old Jakolbi Taylor, is speaking out, saying Abraham did not receive a fair trial in Horry County and that his sentence is too harsh.

In May, Abraham took a plea deal and was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon in a violent crime in Taylor’s death.
