Minoa firefighter taken to hospital for heat exhaustion, one occupant treated for burns due to blaze at Erie Village

MANLIUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — One person was treated for burns and a Minoa firefighter was taken to a hospital for heat exhaustion due to a blaze at a townhouse community in Manlius on Wednesday afternoon.

Trevor Van Auken, deputy chief with the Minoa Fire Department, said in a statement that at about 5:23 p.m. on July 1, firefighters went out to a reported structure fire at Erie Village.

Firefighters initiated fire suppression efforts at the two-story wood frame structure while crews searched the residence and conjoining residence, Van Auken said…
