SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — For most, it was a routine Wednesday. But for the Bylow family, it was a day they will never forget as their little girl rang the bell at Upstate Cancer Center to celebrate being cancer-free.
The ring was only seconds long, but had the weight of more than a year of courage for Everleigh Starr Bylow.
“She started out with Stage Four, and now, they can’t find any cancer,” Brandon Bylow, the father, said. “We’re extremely proud of her, extremely happy.”
But it was pure terror last April, when Everleigh was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on the 28th after she was showing signs of consistent limping and pain. Since her diagnosis, the past year has been filled with non-stop trips from Ogdensburg to Syracuse for chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments…
