SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Ruck² celebrated its grand opening in Schenectady Wednesday with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. The bar will be located at 148 Clinton Street.

The Ruck originally opened in Troy in 1998. Current owner Dave Gardell acquired the bar in 2004, sharing it’s been his passion for a long time.
In May, Gardell said opening another location wasn’t something he decided to do on a whim. He chose the location after careful thought and through his connection to Schenectady’s brewing program.
“I chose Schenectady with my full intention and when this opportunity presented itself, I couldn’t… I didn’t hesitate to jump at the opportunity,” he said at Wednesday’s ribbon cutting.
The Ruck² will be in the former Unbeetable location, will have over 20 draft lines and a number of arcade games from Unbeetable…
