HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Crews have contained a grass fire that was threatening nearby homes in the Longs area on Thursday.
Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched around 12 p.m. to Shore Drive for a grass fire threatening nearby homes.
The agency estimated the fire at about one acre and said a lawnmower igniting dry grass was the cause.
