As warmer temperatures move into the Boston region, the increase in water activities for staying cool has also resulted in several drowning deaths over the past month.
The Boston Globe reported that on Saturday, June 27, Kayron G. Costa, 18, died in a Boston hospital after being pulled from Houghton’s Pond in Milton. Cody Nguyen, an eighth-grader who was unresponsive when he was rescued from a pond in Andover in May, died on Friday, June 26, officials said.
