Dallas City Hall named one of most ‘irreplaceable’ buildings in U.S.

As city leadership grapples with the future of the 47-year-old Dallas City Hall, the World Monuments Fund has placed the civic building on a list of the 10 most “irreplaceable” buildings in the country.

The WMF, a New York-based advocacy organization, said in a statement that while the building is the subject of possible demolition and redevelopment, the structure born in the years following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy was “designed to represent a community seeking to rebrand itself and embrace the future.”…
