SPRINGFIELD, MO – Drivers in the city are finding that a couple of roads are back open after months-long construction closures.
On Wednesday, N. Boonville Avenue between Mill St. and Water St. was reopened to traffic. The street had been closed since October as part of work on the Renew Jordan Creek project. The multi-million dollar project is “daylighting” the waterway. The work entails returning the creek bed to an open, park-like environment. The creek had been rerouted underground through tunnels many decades ago.
