LOS LUNAS — as it a dustdevil? Or a tornado? Or something else?
That was the question after a weather event hit Los Lunas last Thursday afternoon, June 26.
According to a survey summary compiled by the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, a “land spout tornado” sprung up in an open field southwest of the intersection of Interstate 25 and N.M. 6 (Main Street) and “crossed I-25 just south of the intersection moving (east-northeast), then turning more to the (northeast) crossing (N.M.) 6 east of I-25 through multiple businesses.”…
