BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — With dangerous heat expected across western North Carolina this Fourth of July, organizers in Asheville and Buncombe County are taking extra precautions to help people celebrate safely.
Asheville’s South Slope Block Party returns
The Asheville Downtown Association’s Independence Day Block Party will once again take over the South Slope on Saturday, July 4. Restaurants, breweries and other venues will open at 12 p.m., with live music and activities beginning at 3 p.m. and continuing until 10 p.m.
Executive Director Hayden Plemmons encourages visitors to spend time inside South Slope businesses during the hottest part of the day.
