NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The July Fourth weekend is in full swing with experts predicting record-breaking travel. 72.2 million people are expected to hit the roads or skies.
Nearly 6 million people plan to fly this holiday weekend, according to AAA. On Friday, Charleston International Airport had relatively smooth lines all day. While TSA said nationally, they expect to screen 18.7 million passengers from June 30 to July 6. It comes as July 4 is on a Saturday, 250 celebrations, and the FIFA World Cup happening in the U.S.
