Pet of the Week: Foster kittens

OKLAHOMA CITY – These 3½-week-old kittens are too young to be adopted and are currently looking for a foster home through the Oklahoma Humane Society. They are being cared for by their mother but need a safe place to grow until they’re old enough for adoption.

Once they reach about 8 weeks old or 2 pounds, they’ll be spayed or neutered and become available for adoption. The kittens don’t have official names yet, giving their future adopters the chance to name them.

The Oklahoma Humane Society is especially seeking foster families for neonatal kittens (under 6 weeks old), one of the shelter’s most vulnerable populations. Officials also remind pet owners to prepare for Fourth of July fireworks by keeping pets indoors and using calming techniques or veterinarian-recommended medications if needed…
