PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An injured husky was rescued from near the summit of Olallie Butte in Oregon on Thursday night, authorities said.
Search and rescue volunteers responded to assist with the rescue of the 75-pound dog after it sustained an injury and was unable to walk down from near the summit of Olallie Butte, which towers at more than 7,000 feet.

“The team then carefully transported the dog down the trail to its awaiting owners,” the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post. “We are grateful for the dedication of our SAR volunteers, who are always ready to respond—whether the call is for a person or a beloved family pet.”…
