Eyewitness describes robbery in the Brunswick Walmart

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — State police have apprehended the suspects involved in a robbery that took place while people shopped ahead of the holiday weekend. Tiffany Mould was in Walmart in Brunswick with her husband and stepdaughter at 9:30 in the morning on Friday when she heard a loud noise from around the corner.

“We couldn’t really make out what it was at first and then it got louder,” said Mould. “We saw the elderly man coming around the corner and he was screaming, ‘Stop! Help! They stole my billfold.’”

After that, Mould saw two people run through the exit and into the parking lot. She called the police as she joined a group of good Samaritans who followed the robbers outside. Eventually, Mould says some people caught up to them, including one brave woman.

“She literally just walked right up to them and was like, ‘This is ridiculous. You need to give him back his wallet. This is not how the world should be,’” said Mould. “So they ended up getting the wallet back.”

After that, Mould says the suspects started to leave the parking lot, so she followed them in her truck, but got stuck in traffic. She saw a group of men follow the robbers as they escaped to Hoosick Road. Mould says the police arrived at that point, and she went to a different store to complete her shopping…
