Richmond firefighters battled a house fire in the 2800 block of Shane Drive on Friday afternoon. Crews reported the fire had spread into the attic, and live power lines complicated the response, according to Richmond Fire Department radio traffic.
Crews arriving around 4 p.m. connected to a water supply and began fighting the fire from inside the house, then found a fire in the attic. Firefighters reportedly cut holes in the roof to release smoke and heat and called for an additional hose line to attack the attic fire.
