HAWAII KAI (KHON2) — Multiple different rescues across Oahu in the water, hiking trails and an expectation of lots of fireworks has officials warning the community.
“4th of July is always a fun time to get with friends and family, barbecue, go into the ocean, have a hike,” said Dr. Jim Ireland, Honolulu Emergency Services Department Director.
“There’s going to be some legal fireworks tonight, unfortunately there’s probably also going to be some illegal fireworks tonight. We just ask everybody to have fun, but be careful and do it responsibly.”…
