MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A large fire was seen Saturday after a tank truck exploded, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews responded to a confirmed tanker fire near the entrance ramp to Interstate 65 South, prompting the closure of the interstate in the affected area.
According to the sheriff’s office, the fire appeared to have been caused by a mechanical issue. Authorities say there are no confirmed injuries at this time.
