Two injured after shooting in Richmond’s Southside on Independence Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Two people were injured after a shooting in Richmond’s Southside in the early morning of Independence Day.

According to the Richmond Police Department, officers were called to the 1600 block of Rosecrest Avenue for a report of a shooting at around 1:32 a.m. on Saturday, July 4. When officers arrived, they found a woman with life-threatening injuries and a man with non-life-threatening injuries.
