SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — Fourth of July celebrations were in full swing across the Lowcountry, with hundreds gathering on Sullivan’s Island and the Isle of Palms for a coastal tradition.
Crowds started early, gathering at Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan’s Island before heading to the island’s annual golf cart parade. By mid-morning, streets were lined with residents and visitors dressed in red, white, and blue as decorated golf carts and scooters rolled through.
“It surprises you more and more every year because there are so many participants,” said Sullivan’s Island resident Baxter Hahn. “It’s a really special year with the 250th anniversary.”…
