FORT MYERS, Fla. —
As inland showers slowly begin to fade, there could be a few wet spots this evening near Interstate 75, but the general trend is for drier weather just in time for fireworks. Clouds will slowly break apart through the night and the vast majority should see mostly dry weather after 10 p.m. Overnight lows are expected to drop to the upper 70s.
Early on Sunday, onshore flow could provide the chance to see rain and even some thunderstorms before the noon hour for coastal sections along the Gulf Coast. Like Saturday, as we push later in the afternoon, showers will favor areas east of I-75. Expect highs in the mid-90s.
More showers and thunderstorms are expected Monday…
