RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) hosted a celebration for the United States’ newest citizens as they took an oath of allegiance Saturday morning.
On Saturday, July 4 at 11 a.m., the VMHC recognized the newest American citizens as they took an oath of allegiance during a ceremony at the museum, located at 428 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd.
Following the ceremony, the museum hosted a reception featuring live music, food and drinks. The event also included patriotic activities, such as an in-gallery scavenger hunt and the display of American Treasures in the VMHC Library.
