Photos: El Paso celebrates Independence Day with annual Rotary parade

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Pasoans gathered in west El Paso on Saturday morning to celebrate Independence Day during the 28th Annual Rotary Independence Day Parade, held as the nation marks the United States of America’s 250th birthday.

The parade stepped off at 9 a.m. at Western Hills Methodist Church on Thunderbird Drive, with floats, community organizations, and patriotic displays making their way along the route as families lined the streets to celebrate the holiday.

This year’s parade marshals were the Han family, whose longtime contributions to El Paso boxing were recognized during the annual event.
