MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Police say early Sunday morning officers patrolling the downtown entertainment district heard multiple gunshots near E. Knapp Street and N. Water Street.
The Milwaukee Police Department says officers responding to the gunshots saw an Audi flee the scene, which hit an officer while driving off. Police say officers, including the injured one, then fired their weapons at the vehicle.
MPD says the car was later found unoccupied on the 1200 block of W. Fond Du Lac Avenue. The driver was then found near the car. Police say the driver was struck by the officers’ gunfire. A gun was located in the suspect’s car and another gun was found in the area…
