LEHIGHTON, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A community is in mourning after officials confirm a longtime fire chief has passed away this Fourth of July weekend.
Carbon County Coroner Mark Smith announced early Sunday morning that Fire Chief William George of the Aquashicola Fire Department had passed away.
Smith said Chief George was pronounced dead Sunday at the Emergency Department of Saint Luke’s Hospital Carbon Campus, with an autopsy scheduled at the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center for Monday, June 6, to determine the manner and cause of death…
