SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Enjoy Sunday’s rain, because a change is coming!

Saharan Dust is about to rule our weather. The dust currently crossing the Atlantic will have filtered into the mid-levels of the atmosphere, bringing significantly lower rain chances to the Suncoast. This drier air will dominate the forecast through Wednesday and possibly next weekend. The trade-off for less rain is higher temperatures. Most of the Suncoast will see highs in the mid-90s.

For the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and the Gulf: Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 7 days. Only 148 days left in Hurricane Season.
