CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Families visiting Cedar Rapids parks this Fourth of July weekend found trash left behind at several locations, including Kenwood Park, Ellis Park and Twin Pines Park.
The city has been operating under a “Carry In, Carry Out” policy, which asks visitors to remove their own trash when they leave. But some residents say the policy is not working during high-traffic weekends, and many have taken cleanup into their own hands.
