Monday is the warmest day of the week

  • Highs climb into the upper 80s Monday
  • Cooler, cloudier Wednesday… Drizzle possible
  • Near-normal end to the week. Slight shower chance Saturday

PDX climbed into the low 80s today! As expected, we’re just a couple degrees warmer than Friday and Saturday. Tonight will be calm and clear west of the Cascades with forecast lows in the 50s. Central and eastern Oregon will be partly cloudy with a chance for a shower on the east side.

We’ve made it to the warmest 10 weeks of the year on average in Portland. The average temperature on July 5 is 80 degrees.

MONDAY = WARMEST DAY THIS WEEK

I boosted high temperatures Monday a bit because high pressure looks to have gotten stronger with recent model data. Tomorrow will be sunny and very warm with highs in the mid to upper-80s.

A small system passes through central and eastern Oregon, bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms, primarily in the afternoon.
