National Grid restores power to 1,900 in Clifton Park and Halfmoon

CLIFTON PARK — National Grid restored power to about 1,900 Clifton Park and Halfmoon customers after the company said crews found a broken piece of equipment on a power line Monday morning.

The outage occurred around 8 a.m. The initial area included the stretch of Route 9 from Sitterly to Stone Quarry Road, Woodin Road, and Grooms Road from the intersection with Routes 9 and 236 and Moe Road.

As of 10:15 a.m., the outage had shrunk to about 590 customers in a smaller area in Halfmoon spanning Woodin Road from just past Grooms Road to slightly beyond Ponderosa Drive, as well as south along Dunsbach Road just before Nathan Drive…
