I love living in Chicago. I specifically love living in summertime Chicago. I might be biased, but I don’t think there’s a better American city to be in during this time in the calendar. Which is why I was THRILLED to be spending America’s 250th birthday here. The vibes for July 4th in Chi-Town seemed to be amazing in previous years, as you can get a little glimpse of in that picture above.
That being said, this Independence Day weekend was a letdown of epic proportions.
I’ll defend Chicago tooth and nail against the snobby California elitists like Mark Titus who say that the weather here sucks. But I have no defense for the weather this weekend, though. It was depressing. And to add onto Eddie’s tweet, I’d even go as far as to say that it was cat shit on top of dog shit…
