MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Sun Prairie marching band returned home with a third-place finish at an international competition in Philadelphia after the city canceled a parade the group had planned to march.
The Sound of Sun Prairie traveled to Philadelphia for the America 250 parade celebrations, but the city canceled the parade because of dangerous heat.
While on the trip, the band still got to compete in the World Association of Marching Show Bands competition, finishing third against groups across the world, including Italy, Sweden, and Colombia…
