SHERWOOD, Ore. (KATU) — Firefighters in Sherwood rescued a dog and a tortoise from a house fire Thursday morning and stopped the flames from spreading to nearby homes, according to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.
Crews were dispatched at about 8:13 a.m. to a home in the 15300 block of Southwest Clifford Court after multiple callers reported heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.
