More than 1,300 homes in Montgomery County continue to experience power outages Monday morning after weekend storms resulted in downed trees and utility poles.
The severe weather will continue to impact the county into Monday and Tuesday with the National Weather Service issuing a flood watch for the county beginning Monday at 4 p.m. until Tuesday at 12 a.m. According to the weather service, the combination of a “slow moving frontal zone with a tropical air mass” will increase the risk of flash flooding.
According to Capital Weather, the Washington D.C. area will likely see a hot and humid day on Monday. Although it will be 10 to 20 degrees lower than the weekend, high humidity means it will still feel like 90 degrees outside.
