The city of Smyrna is considering an unchanged millage rate of 8.99 mills for 2026, the same rate it’s had since 2008. Though the tax rate is proposed to not increase, a rise in property values is expected to bring the city almost $2.59 million more in tax revenue, an increase of 6.84% over last year.
Some owners whose property assessments increased over the past year could pay more in property taxes even though the tax rate remains flat.
