A Buffalo man created a ruckus at a Flushing mosque on Friday afternoon when he appeared to bring a gun inside and was wrestled to the ground by a bystander while another called the authorities.
Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing responded to a 911 call at around 1:30 p.m. on July 3 of a male with a firearm inside the Muslim Center of New York at 137-58 Geranium Ave. Officers were informed that during services the suspect was acting disorderly.
Upon further investigation, the intruder was found to be in possession of an imitation pistol and he was taken into custody without further incidents, police said, adding there were no injuries.
Sheikh Haquue, 33, of Ashley Street in Buffalo, was booked at the 109th Precinct. He was arraigned on July 5 in Queens Criminal Court on a complaint charging him with menacing in the second degree and harassment in the second degree…
