OCALA, FL (352Today.com) – As of July 1, 2026, Lotus Marion has become the certified provider of domestic violence services in Marion County, consolidating local support for survivors of both domestic violence and sexual assault under one organization.
According to Alison Vasquez, director of outreach and prevention for Lotus Marion, the transition marks the culmination of community discussions that began in early to mid-2025. It aims to create a unified, locally based model after CASA Pinellas temporarily stepped in to prevent service gaps. Lotus Marion, formerly known as the Marion County Sexual Assault Center, is now the sole dual-certified provider of both service types.
