Students training at Greenville Technical College’s new Center for Welding and Automation Excellence this fall will receive welding equipment kits thanks to a grant from the Duke Energy Foundation.
The Center for Welding and Automation Excellence was created to expand the college’s training opportunities to meet the growing demand for welding technicians across South Carolina and the Southeast. The new 44,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to open in the fall at Greenville Technical College’s Brashier Campus in Simpsonville.
