Death investigation underway after 19-month-old pulled from Lawrence retention pond

LAWRENCE, Indiana — Lawrence police confirmed a young child was pronounced dead after being pulled from a retention pond at an apartment complex Monday.

First responders were called shortly before noon July 6 to the 7000 block of McIntosh Lane, just east of Interstate 465 and just south of East 56th Street at The Life at Harrison Trails apartment complex, for a report of a missing 19-month-old child.
