Heat advisories remain

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A couple of spots across the area picked up more than 2 inches of rain, but the storms were very scattered, and the majority of us did not receive significant rainfall. The rain really began to wind down between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. last night, and we didn’t see any additional showers overnight.

We’ll have a beautiful sunrise to start the day with mostly clear skies, but it’s already very warm and humid outside. Temperatures along the coast are starting in the low 80s, while inland locations are in the upper 70s.

A Heat Advisory is back in effect for this afternoon, and it’s even more widespread than yesterday, now including every county in our viewing area. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s at the beaches and the upper 90s to around 100 degrees inland…
