(KRON) — A man who bought $1,800 worth of fireworks was busted by police in Morgan Hill before he had a chance to ignite any over Fourth of July weekend, police said.
A patrol officer noticed a “suspicious” car when it was parked behind a business, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. The officer spotted 80 pounds of fireworks piled up in plain view.
“He had just spent about $1,800 on them. Unfortunately, the fireworks’ first and only performance was a starring role in evidence,” MPD wrote. “Fireworks purchased: $1,800. Fireworks enjoyed: $0.”
