(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Springs Book Bash is bringing a full weekend of books, authors, and community fun to COS CityHub in the Austin Bluffs and Barnes area August 7-8.
Book Bash Co-Owner Michelle Hagood and Planning Committee member Carly Stevens joined Loving Living Local’s Krista Witiak to preview the event, which features over 100 authors across a wide range of genres including children’s books, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, and historical fiction.
Organizers describe the event as a bookish boutique experience, with something for every kind of reader. Alongside author meet-and-greets, attendees can shop book-themed vendors offering items like candles, bookmarks, apparel, jewelry, and more.
The weekend also includes food trucks, live entertainment, and a dedicated kids’ space with face painting, games, balloon animals, and hair tinsel.
A special “Book Bash After Dark” event on August 7 adds a 21+ evening experience featuring 34 authors and vendors focused on darker genres like horror, thrillers, paranormal, dystopian, and dark romance. The night will also include a hosted open bar, catered appetizers, a crepe truck, cocktail attire, and VIP goodie bags…
