Lancaster Supervisor “Shocked” Buffalo Police Named Town in Connection to Violence

Lancaster, NY (WBEN) – “I’m going to defend my town.”

Many Town of Lancaster residents are up in arms after Buffalo Police E-District Chief Todd McAlister said that teens from Lancaster were partly responsible for the chaos and violence over July 4th in Buffalo.

“I was completely shocked and appalled when I heard from Police Chief McAlister, how he singled out the Town of Lancaster,” Lancaster Town Supervisor Bob Leary told WBEN. “I think they’re deflecting. They’re avoiding culpability by stoking division and bringing in a neighboring town for what happened when there’s no fact to support that at this time.”…
