ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – Initial work on the Isle of Palms beach renourishment project is expected to begin Tuesday as crews mobilize equipment for shoreline restoration efforts on the island.
City officials said residents and visitors may notice construction equipment and crews arriving on the beach in the coming days as contractors prepare to begin pumping sand. Equipment will be transported by barge from Dewees Inlet, and no significant beach closures are anticipated during the project.
